Havant is the larger town immediately west of Emsworth, with excellent transport links and a wide range of shops and services. The town is the administrative centre of Havant Borough and has a busy high street, Meridian Shopping Centre, and good rail connections.

## Havant Town Centre

The Meridian Shopping Centre and the pedestrianised high street form the core of Havant's retail offer. The town has a wide range of national retailers, independent shops, restaurants, and cafes. Havant Museum in East Street documents the town's history as a market town dating back to Roman times.

## Getting Around from Havant

Havant railway station is a major interchange on the South Western Railway network, with direct services to Portsmouth, Southampton, Brighton, and London Waterloo. The A27 runs through the town, providing road connections to Portsmouth and Chichester. The town is within easy reach of Emsworth (5 miles east) and Chichester (10 miles east).
