Emsworth Arts Trail Marks 25 Years of Creativity Across the Town

Emsworth Arts Trail has wrapped up a milestone year, with the 2026 event celebrating 25 years of creativity around the town.

The official trail dates were 25 and 26 April, followed by 2, 3 and 4 May, giving residents and visitors two spring weekends to explore work by local makers, painters, photographers, jewellers, sculptors and other artists.

A Walkable Trail Through Emsworth

The organisers describe the trail as a chance to discover artists in their own homes, studios and community spaces. The event is deliberately local in feel: most venues are within about a mile of Emsworth town centre, making it easy to explore on foot or by bicycle.

That layout is part of the charm. Rather than sending visitors to one large exhibition hall, the trail turns Emsworth itself into the gallery, with people moving between streets, studios and familiar local spaces.

Businesses Joined the Celebration

The 2026 programme also included taster exhibitions in Emsworth businesses, bringing art into the heart of the town during April and May. That matters for more than culture: events like this give cafĂ©s, shops and pubs extra reasons to be part of the town’s visitor economy.

For a place that already leans on independent businesses, harbour walks and weekend visitors, the arts trail is a neat fit. It gives people a reason to linger, talk to artists and see Emsworth as more than a pretty stop on the coast.

Why It Matters

Twenty-five years is a serious achievement for a community event. It suggests the trail has become part of Emsworth’s seasonal rhythm, not just a one-off arts weekend.
